Made from 100% Gutedel, also known as Chasselas in Switzerland and Alsace Its home turf in Germany is the tiny sub-region of Markgraflerland located within Baden, Germany’s warmest growing region right on the borders of France and Switzerland. The area sits at the edge of the Black Forest which protects the area from inclement weather. Gertie and Max Gutedel Dry has floral aromas and a palate with subtle notes of tropical fruit with a pleasing nuttiness.
This is a fresh gentle wine perfect for east drinking, light fare light salads and white fish but body to pair with fondues and bolder cheeses.
