This medium-bodied rose from 100% from Pinot Noir is bright and with great acidity to match the juicy fruit.
The wine has typical aromas and flavors of strawberry, herbs, and salty minerality.
I got to try this Rose for the first time two years ago at a wine tasting. One of my favorite of the tasting together with the Sancerre Red from the same producer and a favorite Rose since then. Gary Johanning Manager.
From a high altitude Chavignol vineyard of only 2.5 acres from vines with an age of more than 30 years.
The grapes are destemmed and fermented and aged in stainless steel with indigenous yeast.
