Black Bush Special Irish Whiskey is a rich, dark, 80-proof blend from the world's oldest licensed distillery, "Old Bushmills" Distillery in County Antrim, Ireland. It is comprised almost entirely of single malt whiskey, making it a choice selection of deluxe whisk(e)y aficionados.
This elegant, super-soft sipper is a blend of grain whiskey and malt whiskey that was finished in oloroso Sherry casks—the emphasis on the latter. The Sherry influence shows in the baked apple and dried apricot flavors that round into caramel and butterscotch tones on the finish. Kara Newman, 3/1/2014.
