The fruit for this Pinot Noir is sourced mostly from Monterey. It is vinified 50% stainless steel tank and 50% in neutral oak. The wine is then aged for 8 months in large neutral oak. This keeps freshness at the fore and gives one a sense of the essence of Pinot Noir unfettered by too much wood. Its also a testament to the high quality grapes at the disposal of David Gordon, the wine director at Tribeca Grill. Named after his daughter, Ginger, this is wonderfully fragrant, pure Pinot--no steroids, growth hormones or superhero oak regiment. It's just juicy cherries, bright cranberries, a touch of spice and a hint of sandalwood. Surprisingly long in finish for a wine of its price, this is ready to go Pinot for parties, pork or poultry.

A pure ruby color is light and pretty. On the nose, this wine crackles with cranberry, with hints of smoke and evergreen boughs bringing a sense of holiday cheer.
