2019 Alamos Seleccion Malbec This full-bodied Malbec wine begins with complex aromas of juicy dark fruits and hints of floral violet and wildflowers. On the supple palate, abundant fruit flavors of ripe black currant and plum are framed by hints of black pepper and baking spices, leading to a lingering, luscious finish. James Suckling 92 Points The 2019 Selección Malbec was produced from older vineyards in the Valle de Uco and only part of the wine matured in used barrels, so it has a nice combination between fruit and spice. It has more depth than the regular Malbec and feels more complete than the 2020 version that I also tasted next to it. It has good complexity and texture. It finishes dry and clean.
