2015 Baron De Ley Reserva Rioja 

Barón de Ley Reserva is made using Tempranillo grapes from our vineyards in the Rioja Oritental subregion, mainly the estates in Mendavia and Los Almendros in Ausejo.

The earliest harvest in the history of Rioja with balanced ripening and exceptional sanitary conditions across all the vineyards. The wines resulted in great aromatic complexity and concentration, they stand out for their finesse and elegance

This red offers a plush texture and ripe flavors, yet it remains graceful through the spicy finish. Plum, currant and fig notes are balanced by licorice and graphite elements, with well-integrated tannins and gentle acidity keeping this balanced. Drink now through 2025.

Earthy, spicy plum and red berry aromas are solid and in harmony. This reserva shows depth and balance along with ripe berry, cassis, chocolate and brown sugar flavors. On the finish, this is more subtle and smooth than loud.

A firm and silky red with dark berries, blueberries and hints of cedar and walnuts. Medium body. Firm and chewy. Pretty finish. 

Winemaker Notes

Ruby-red color. On the nose it surprises you with its powerful fruity character mingling with reminders of its noble ageing, traces of coconut, toffee and attractive wild herb nuances. After a powerful attack the sensation of soft, supple volume gradually extends across the palate to end with a long finish. In the aftertaste you are again reminded of the red-berry fruit mingled with hints of wild herbs.
