2018 Johnson Family Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

Johnson Family is there value driven label produced by a few great winemakers from selected vineyard sites in California. They have now added Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and Russian River Pinot Noir to the already popular Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. In each case, the producer’s have requested that their identity is not disclosed. What we can tell you is that these wines over deliver for their price. They are made utilizing the same exacting standards as much more expensive wine; low yields, minimal handling, sustainable farming, French oak aging and minimal fining or filtration. The proof is in the bottle as you will see when you taste this wine.

Blended from three distinct regions within the Sonoma Coast Appellation. Sonoma Coast Pinot offers bright red fruit and west coast grapes provide structure, acidity. Finally, Russian River Valley adds a darker fruit, with hints of cola, cinnamon and nutmeg. The three sub-regions marry to create a complete wine that showcases the many faces of Sonoma Coast Pinot - vibrant fruit, bracing acidity, and subtle earthy flavors. 

100% Pinot Noir, fermented in four small lots prior to blending, 35% in new French oak and 65% in neutral oak. Aged 13 months in barrel.
