2019 Fournier Sauvignon Blanc 

Domaine Fournier is one of the most important estates in the Sancerre area. Their 150 acres of vineyards are spread across the Sancerre appellation and include top sites in the villages of Verdigny, Bue and Maimbray, which enable them to produce wines of sophistication and complexity. They also own well placed sites in Pouilly-Fume and Menetou-Salon. Their state-of-the-art winery is designed to minimize handling of the grapes and allow for careful selection on sorting tables. Temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks preserves the fruit and freshness. The Estate is directed by Claude Fournier, who is also the winemaker. He is dedicated to producing top quality wines of great elegance and finesse.

A fresh, fruity white with sliced apple and pear character, medium body and a clean, crisp finish. Nice fennel and apple undertones.

This charming white is refreshing, with notes of lemongrass and honeysuckle framing the core of green peach and tangerine flavors that emerge midpalate.

Winemaker Notes

Proudly showing off its great terroirs of origin, Domaine Fournier Sauvignon Blanc exhibits its citrus and passion fruit aromas. The palate is zesty with a nice salivating acidity.

A great aperitif, or pair with prunes roasted with bacon or eggplant ricotta lasagna. It is also perfect at lunch with hot goat cheese salad!
