Masi's own production method was described by Hugh Johnson as “an ingenious technique".
Exuberant morello cherries, raspberry coulis and subtler notes of dried orange peel come to the surface. The medium-bodied palate has some bite with a solid backbone of firm tannins. Winemaker Notes With an intense, ruby-red color and violet traces, the wine shows generous, ripe aromas of plum and cherry jam, with hints of spice.
