"Beringer continues to excel with Chardonnay, made in a rich, lush, but balanced so harmonious style. The winery gets many plaudits for its “Private Reserve” and other special bottlings, but the perhaps more impressive wine is this “regular” one, if only because winemaker Laurie Hooks produces so much of it. Consistently appealing, it has become slightly less oak-driven and a bit fresher-tasting in recent years, due perhaps to changes in the barrel program and the fact that a significant percentage of the blend does not undergo malolactic fermentation. Whatever the reason, the end result offers ample proof that high quality and high volume can go hand in hand."

"Not quite sweet enough to do service with rich desserts (or wedding cake), this wine nonetheless offers abundant off-dry flavors that echo summer stone fruit and citrus, with just a hint of toast in the finish. Made with Chardonnay, it’s an outstanding bargain in a field (California sparkling wine) in which values prove hard to find. Snobs who care more about the name on the label than the quality of the wine in the bottle may pass it by; but the rest of us would be wise to stock up."

"Steve Reeder blends this sauvignon with five percent semillon, adding a hint of wheat-like savor to the fruit. It's fresh and bright, packed with lime, lemongrass and peach flavors that show off its blend of warm- and cool-climate fruit. A versatile, mouthwatering white to serve with white sausages, whether seafood, chicken or veal."

“A rich, dense, concentrated style, this is full-bodied, focused and pure, with hints of mocha and black licorice rounding out the core currant, plum and black cherry flavors. Focused and persistent, with a long finish. Drink now through." 2017. Highly Recommended!”

She liked it.... and she's difficult to please......
"New Zealand has established a firm reputation for producing some of the finest, and most distinctive, Sauvignon Blancs. While retaining the refreshing, grassy and herbaceous character of this noble grape, the New Zealand style often introduces a bracing grapefruitiness that makes the Marlborough wines identifiable on the nose, without even a taste. You either love them or you hate them, but rarely is there an in between. At Pop’s we carry a huge selection of New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, and we are proud to add to our offerings this stellar 2009, precisely because it is in between. While still clearly in the New Zealand style, its minerality and floral overtones, not just described on the label, but in the bottle, bring it back from the edge. “Delightful” “easy” “refreshing” are just a few of the accolades this wine garnered when served recently to friends for their opinion. The restrained 12.5% alcohol makes it a great summertime sipper as well as a perfect match for seafood and lighter b-b-q fare. I am confident you’re going to love this wine, as the lyrics go, “come rain…"

Our second offering of 90+ wines, our first was a sell-out!
"We are taking advantage of the current economic conditions by purchasing high quality and highly rated finished wines direct from wineries at a discount and then passing the savings on to you. Price and availability aren't the only selection criteria. The wines we purchase must have a pedigree of 90 or higher ratings, best buy or gold medal accolades from a respected wine authority or publication.

Other companies with a similar concept are usually buying the winery's excess or distressed wine. We are buying a winery's best and most highly rated finished wine, which they would normally sell under their own label. Wineries are willing to work with us because they either produced more than they need or sales have slowed. In return, they are promised complete anonymity, which we take very seriously.

The wines of 90+Cellars are great values because we are a virtual winery; we don't own any land or bottling facility. In fact, the source wineries bottle and label our wines for us. We simply search out world-class wine, negotiate a great price and then pass the savings on to our customers.

Upon release, each 90+Cellars wine is assigned a "Lot" number. A lot is defined as a particular wine from a winery. On successful lots we may purchase the next vintage (if available) if the quality is the same or better.

In the end, it is our goal to provide wine lovers with an outstanding bottle of wine at a great price. If you like the idea of fine wine for less money, then give our wines a try!

Story: Garnacha is a grape native to Spain; this wine is from a region of Spain with a wine-making tradition that dates back to the times of the Roman Empire. This wine is estate grown and has been aged 6 months in French oak which allows it the Crianza designation. This lot is one of the best deals we have found and a personal favorite we are happy to share!

Taste: A complete wine, with aromas of forest fruit shrouded in chocolate, vanilla, milk, coffee, nuts and wood spice. The wine has a broad palate of earthy blue fruits and integrated oak; well put together, ripe and nicely open with a lingering spicy finish."
