They say $17-$25 (Wine Enthusiast), we say $10+
..... 92 points too!!
This ranks right up there with the greatest deals we have ever offered.
Any Napa Valley Cab at $10+ would be a deal. And to that is from Beaulieu
Vineyard and it makes it too good to be true! Make it a 92 point wine, and
I've run out of adjectives. Read this review and the comments based on a $17
price. This is nothing short of amazing!
"No one else in Napa Valley could produce a Cabernet of this pedigree, at
this price, besides Beaulieu. They bring their century of experience, as
well as their vineyards, to produce this fine, dry wine. It reeks of
classicism, from the purity of structure to the refined, Bordeaux-like black
currant and cedar flavors. An amazing accomplishment. ($17)

In a tasting of 20 Proseccos....".....A unanimous
favorite....."
"This clean, bright, fairly light-bodied and very dry Prosecco
is elegance in a glass. It's as close to Champagne—at this price—as Prosecco
will get. A unanimous favorite."

"...Our No. 1 wine, for example, the 2009 Corail from Château
du Roquefort, is simply delicious — light and refreshing yet not at all
stinting on texture or flavor. What’s more, it was just $14, a terrific
value. In fact, it was our best value."

".....Nothing like it on the market today....."
"As collectors of wine, we have been trained by experience to
buy the current vintages of Bordeaux and squirrel them away until 10 years
from the vintage - and then crack one and see how it's doing. Better
vintages will go 20-30 years, light years will go 10-14.
So, what if I told you I have a small amount of a recently released 2000
Bordeaux - from a Grand Cru property in St. Emilion. A St. Emilion Grand Cru
2000 that was aged for us at the winery the whole time until 2 months ago.
And what if I told you it's neighbors read like a who's who among St.
Emilion's Elite.
Ausone, Pavie, Tetre-Rotebeouf, Bel Air Ouy, and Valandraud.
The one winery in that impressive list you haven't heard of is Chateau
Bel-Air-Ouy, until now, and it is their 2000 that we have obtained a small
amount to offer today...
You'd expect a wine costing $200+
Lowest Price on Wine-Searcher for Chateau Bel-Air-Ouy's elite neighbors:
2000 Ausone - $1700.00
2000 Pavie - $399.00
2000 Tetre-Rotebeouf - $288.00
2000 Valandraud - $199.00
Very expensive Real-Estate indeed. And yet...2000 Chateau Bel-Air-Ouy will
set you back $40+!
A little Background on the Genius behind this strong effort:
Chateau Bel-Air-Ouy is owned by one of the Super Star consultant winemakers
of the 21st century, known now as a Garagista: "Mr. Jean Luc Thunevin."
Along the same Cote of land where Pavie, Ausone, Tertre-Roteboeuf and
Valandraud reside, sits Chateau Bel-Air-Ouy. It has the same incredible
terroir and is way under-valued. I can't state enough how incredibly rare it
is to be able to offer out some cellar-aged 2000 vintage at a ridiculously
low price compared to the prices of his neighbors wines.
The 2000 is drinking beautifully. I decanted it and it was delicious upon
opening, but changed many times over 5 hours being open. You can drink
this... or put it away for another 5+ years. But at $40+... it'll be hard to
keep your fingers out of the cookie jar! I've opened two bottles in two
days... very hard to resist.
An unbelievable value... a 2000 St. Emilion Bordeaux... With class and depth
like a $100 bottle... Nothing like it on the market today."

They say $19.95 (Suggested Retail) we say $7!!
If the Beaulieu Cabernet we offered about is one of the best
deals ever, then this is solidly in second place! Napa Valley Sauvignon
Blanc for $8!! Geez, you'd pay that for regional & ordinary?!?
"So you can tell my excitement soared when representation from Crauford
winery walked through our doors and informed me they are going through a
label change. Paul Maroon, the now new owner, who once grew the grapes and
made the wine for the Crauford family, has taken sole ownership. The new
name of his label will become Maroon wines....
Sauvignon Blanc is both a great food wine, starter wine and summer time
quaffing wine. Although this grape has highly identifiable characteristics
such as citrus and grassy notes, it is also amazingly diverse. The 2008
Crauford Highlander is simply that, and much more...Excellent notes of white
peach, melon, and slight grapefruit briskness that last throughout. This
Sauvignon Blanc is an absolute steal for us, and an unbeatable buy you
should not pass up....."

".....I've found my Red Wine of Year....."
"Check out this review from a friend of our store, Christian
Troy. I say friend because this guy never steers us wrong and when this guy
waxes lyrical about a wine, I sit up and take notice. I know of know other
guy in our business that is anymore passionate about wine then Christian.
This wine sounds so good I plan to take home some of this myself, unless you
guys buy it all before me."
Victor Doyle, General Manager, Pop's Wines & Spirits, June, 2010
"Folks.... OMG!
To date, I can now confirm that I've found my Red Wine of Year. Yep. The
Syrah is amazing, and certainly at this price point it's an incredible
value, but the Syrah Reserva- per the subject line above- blows most Cote
Rotie out of the water and it's only $13+, when bought by the case!!
Story:
So, Rosaura is the owner along with her husband and winemaker Duncan
Killiner. Duncan works throughout lower South America consulting on projects
in Uruguay, Patagonia (hence the Pinot Noir), Mendoza, and even in Chile.
And it was through his consultant work that he discovered the 200 acre Jelu
vineyard located in the Zonda Valley in San Juan. The vineyard itself is
located at about 2,400 feet backed up against the Andes Mountains. The
terroir sits at a Southeast exposition and the soil is all galets roules
(the famed Chateauneuf du Pape stones).
Roughly 80 acres of the vineyard is planted to Syrah. It's farmed
sustainably- soon to be organically- and the grapes are hand picked. The
Reserva is a vineyard selection of the best parcels with the finest aspects,
and it is co-fermented with a little Viognier, literally a la Cote Rotie.
Elevage sees 6 months in new french oak.
But, it's about the palate. Reduced black fruits. Apricot- as is known in
Cote Rotie. Ripping minerality. And an insatiable depth...a depth found at
something you usually find at $20-$30bt cost.
OK, I'll give you some metrics, cause I know sometimes palate adjectives
don't give you enough WOW factor...Here you go:
93 Points
There you go. That's how serious I am about this wine."
