Good to be True?
It's tough to sell $50 bottles these days. Don't think for a
minute that our vendors don't know this. Purchasers who will take
substantial quantities, and then pay their bills can get deals...... You
wanna pay $18+ for a $50 bottle?
"Composed of favorite lots from the vintage, the SVR Reserve blends
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petite Verdot into powerful wine that marries
concentrated richness with an inviting approachability. The wine's intense,
oak-influenced character is a "black profile" showing graphite, licorice,
cedar and mocha over dark cherry and ripe plum. The fruit of this vintage is
more subdued than usual, adopting barrel notes of roasted coffee and dark
chocolate as the dominant flavors. Chewy tannins structure the finish as red
fruit, dark chocolate and brown sugar linger on the finish. 70% Cabernet
Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot."

".....The
man makes Killer White Burgundy!!....."
"Meet Jean Manciat and his Burgundy labeled Macon-Charnay
known throughout the world as region's best, reasonably-priced of all white
Burgundies.
Over the past months we have re-examined the world of wine and some of the
finest around; from Argentina to Piedmonte, to France across the Atlantic to
Napa Valley then to Spain and most recently, Tuscany...This week the next
find will bring us back to where it all began, to wine's mother-country and
the place most wine lovers love and respect - France. More specifically,
Burgundy, and Jean Manciat - An owner and winemaker who makes some of the
region's best, reasonably-priced white Burgundies available in the market.
This incredible white Burgundy has been hands-down our best selling French
white year in and year out. The 2010 we rocked with and sold tons of cases!
It has the purest expression of Chardonnay (stainless), charming pear and
citrus flavors with a creamy mouth feel and a bright, prickly, lip-smacking,
pour-me-another-glass finish. While the wine tastes lovely on its own, it is
incredibly versatile and will pair with a wide array of dishes.
Simply put, "THE MAN MAKES KILLER WHITE BURGUNDY!!....

“A big, ripe style, exuding black cherry, plum and spice flavors.
Despite its international feel, there is finesse and a sense of harmony,
though stiff tannins guard the finish for now. Best from 2015 through 2030.”

"A whole generation of wine drinkers was soured on the Soave appellation
by industrial renditions during the 1970s and ‘80s, but younger tasters and
members of the Old School who can manage to taste with an open mind will be
immediately convinced of Soave’s allure and versatility if they taste
anything made by Suavia or Pieropan, another standard-bearer for Soave. This
is extraordinary for its balance and integration, showing vivid pear and
white melon fruit along with subtle undertones of minerals and a freshening
citrus-tinged edge."

"Zin blends are in….. I’ve always have been a big fan of
the Zin blends. Two of my favorites have always been Paraduxx and The
Prisoner and still are. However unfortunately these have crept into the
lower $30.00 price range, which makes them a little more then I want to
spend regularly. So I am always in a search for the ‘new wine’, one that
over delivers for its price tag. I think I found that wine in Buena Vista
The Count. It is a Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel blend. Although it does not have
Cabernet in the blend like the others, I still found it to have good
structure and a full-bodied weight The Count’s bouquet opens beautifully and
is smooth on the palate, with a long, silky finish. Now the best part, at
$18+ when bought by the case, I think I’ve found my ‘new wine’."

"This
is clearly the best Greek white wine I have ever tasted......"
".....That being said my experience is limited in this
category, however I cannot imagine another white from Greece delivering this
quality at this price. When it comes to wine George Skouras is one of
Greece's stalwarts and the Skouras Moscofilero is a super tasty white. This
has concentration and is a real pleasure just to smell. Delicate, but this
nicely textured wine, is both fruity and crisp and is simply delicious. It
is a wine that has some intensity on the finish and taste exuberant, fresh
and delicious. A lot of class here, it should be wonderful in the summer,
too, and sure to be and easy sipper that you can't put down."
