You want price? You can find this in New York City for $89.95 per bottle!
".....2009 is the greatest vintage I have tasted in Bordeaux since 1982,
of which it is a modern-day version, but greatly improved. It is more
consistent....."
Robert Parker
“This very structured, but polished, style shows a solid coat of coffee
for the large core of crushed fig, plum sauce and steeped black currant
fruit. Stays dense, but has a strong graphite and iron edge buried deeply on
the finish, which should let this assimilate in the cellar. Lovely mineral,
sanguine edge. Beautifully built. Best from 2014 through 2030.” ($50)

“I love authentic Sancerre, such as this one, because it transmits an
earthy chalky edginess, along with the grapefruity side of Sauvignon Blanc.
The 2010 Chateau de Sancerre has length and body, elements often lacking in
modern Sancerre. It virtually sparkles on the tongue, which makes it easy to
recommend.”($22)

Ahh...... the Tanzer review, always conservative compares to 92-94 for
the other reviewers. Other 90 point Tanzer scores: $35, $80, $45, $37. You
seeing what I'm seeing?
“Bright dark red. Sweeter on the nose than the 2010, offering scents and
flavors of currant, plum, mocha and earth. At once saline and sweet, and a
bit more concentrated than the 2010. The fat middle palate is nicely framed
by harmonious acidity. Finishes broad, spicy and long, with a fine dusting
of tannins that spread out to coat the palate. Lovely balance here.”

"They packed a lot of flavor into this rich Chardonnay for the price.
It’s toasty buttery and popcorny from winemaker treatment, with ripe fruit
notes of pineapples and exotic tropical fruits. A brisk streak of minerals
and acidity provides clean balance." ($22)

“An unusually high-toned nose also displays a touch of wood
that sets off subtle lower register notes of earth and humus that carry over
to the textured and relatively supple medium weight plus flavors that
possess excellent dry extract levels that completely buffer the firm and
dense tannins on the deep, long and sappy finish. Terrific quality here but
again, for the patient. Outstanding!”

Declassified
$65 Chassagne Montrachet.....
"The best basic French Chardonnay Values come from The Best
Vintages Declassifications. 2009 is a great year in Burgundy.
Domaine Rene Lequin-Colin makes 2 wines: (1) a fabulous Chassagne-Montrachet
which is rich and decadent and so wonderful with persistent minerality and a
long, long aftertaste that goes and goes... and is a terrific buy at $65.99
a bottle. But, that said, the 25% of the batch that they didn't feel was
good enough for the $65.99 bottle of wine... TASTES REALLY GOOD when it's
$18+ (by the case.)
That's what happens in Burgundy. You make some (1) Great wine and you make
some (2) Everyday wine... which has on the label simply: BOURGOGNE BLANC -
the more they take from the great wine, the better it is... and the happier
the EVERYDAY DRINKER becomes."
