Last call on 2014 Red Bordeaux
"One of the best value driven vintages in a long time... We are clearing the shelves of these gems and making space for the 2015's which arrive over the next 12 months.

Last chance to mix a few cases of these gems that are starting to drink now but the best will last 20-25 years.

Let's mix some cases!!!!

Quantities are bottles to a few cases left of all of these."

"I love the aromas of blackberries and chocolate with flowers. Full body, soft and velvety tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Gorgeous red. Drink or hold."

"A wine that's very marked by its comparatively small percentage of Cabernet Franc, this is always one of the Gironde's greatest bargains. Grassy, elegant and leafy with dark berry and fennel notes that build on the palate, complemented by stylish, aromatic oak."

"Quite an earthy, solid wine with plenty of power and concentration but a bit less charm than many of the 2014 Pomerols. The tannins on the finish are a bit chewy, but they should harmonize in time and there's plenty of fruit in there."

"This is an exceptional vintage for La Croix. It has voluptuous fruits that emerge from the ripe dense tannins. They are balanced by intense acidity and a crisp edge. The wine, with its still stylish character, is one to age for a long time. Drink this very fine wine from 2025."

"This wine has the finest, dusty tannins that float through the structure. Don't be deceived, though-this rich, sophisticated wine will age very well, thanks to its weight and power. It also has poised elegance that is so stylish and already attractive."

"While the wine from this major estate is dry at this stage, it is just covering for the juicy black-currant fruit. It is a finely crafted wine, firm and structured while preserving the great fruit of the vintage. With this balance, the wine will develop well. Drink from 2024."

"The 2014 Clinet is powerful, deep and enveloping. Black cherry, smoke, graphite, chocolate and French oak give the wine its intensity and gravitas. Hints of lavender and violet\ develop in the glass, adding lovely aromatic nuance, but the 2014 remains a big, imposing wine in need of cellaring. This
is impressive juice. Tasted two times. 94+"

"This is a complete wine, full of both tannins and great swathes of ripe fruit. It has a serious side as well in its solid structure and concentration. The juicy blackberry fruits are beginning to calm down and meld into a fine dense wine that will age very well." Drink from 2025."

"Here's an impressive wine that is so ripe and with great structure. It is a major wine with a dark complex texture and\ the finest acidity. The wine is very complete, all the elements in place from the black fruits to the tannins to the hints of wood aging. Now at the top of the tree in Saint-Emilion's classification, the wine will take years to mature." Drink from 2027."

"One of the stars of the vintage, the 2014 Haut-Brion is an exceptionally beautiful and vivid wine. Super-ripe dark cherry, plum, tobacco and menthol are some of the notes that run through the 2014. Just as it did from barrel, the 2014 boasts tons of opulence, intensity and richness. Dried flowers, tobacco, menthol, licorice and smoke wrap around the huge, baritone-inflected finish. Readers should not be in any rush with the 2014, as it is likely to require a number of years before it even starts to drink
well."

"This is another 2014 second wine which does a wonderful job of impersonating its Grand Vin. Vibrant red and black fruit dances on the palate while a really charming creaminess makes it extremely quaffable. This is a delightful wine and will reward early drinking very well. Sleek and fresh, it is also lightly perfumed and very pretty on the nose. This is a really good wine and a perennial favorite of our Fine Wine team, who often buy it for themselves."

"Very minerally, silky and refined with a full body, firm tannins and currants, stones and citrus. Racy and fine. This has a little more Merlot in the blend but is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon as always. One of the best Armailhacs in a long time. "

"What a nose for a second wine! Lovely cassis and delicately leafy/earthy aromas. It's a rare beast: a really mineral red Bordeaux. This has excellent balance of ripeness and fresh dry tannins and acidity. Long, clean finish."
