Ted's pick... 2015 Chateau Talon Red Bordeaux for less than $80... A CASE!!!!
"Tasting Bordeaux reds under $10 recently and I found a gem! 2015 Chateau Talon Vin de Bordeaux.

This is a great everyday red to have on hand when you don’t want to pop open the great stuff. We all need super values like this…

Other stores on Winesearcher are selling this for $15.00!!!

$15?!?!?!?

Pop's price by the case...   $6.63!!!!!!!!!
$79.65 for a case of 12 bottles!!!

This is not a typo!

The 2015 Chateau Talon is an excellent red Bordeaux for the price and I can see how others may gouge on it… but I’d rather make new customers than rip people off…

Perfect wine for everyday consumption and a great value (At Pop's!).

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cab Franc. Concentrated with good structure and fresh vibrant fruit. Has a really nice finish due to it being from a great vintage. 2015 is an awesome vintage in Bordeaux and it is especially evident in this $6+ wine.

Value seekers... Jump on this phenomenal value!"

Ted's pick... Althea Prosecco - A delicious mouthwatering Prosecco Superiore at an unsuperiore price!
"Fans of Prosecco will adore this delicious bubbly from the Veneto's prime vineyards in Valdobbiadene.

With all the citrus and apple flavors you could hope for, this brunch-friendly bubbly has an appealing richness that's seldom found for less than $20.

A gorgeous, Estate Grown and Bottled Prosecco with a great refreshing dry taste and finesse for under $15 by the case!

Green apples, citrus fruits. Harmonious and lively!

This sparkling wine is made from the Glera grape grown on hilly terrain and fermented in tanks according to the charmat method. The slow process of fermentation at brings out the characteristics of this grape in producing a fine and persistent bead and a color of brilliant straw yellow with hints of green. Its bouquet demonstrates a wide range of fruity fragrances including hints of green apple, citrus fruits and fresh vegetables accompanied by a pleasing note of bread.

The Althea is delicious with aged cheeses such as Parmigiano-Reggiano, truffle-salted eggs, and any cured meat you can lay your hands on.

Outstanding Dry Prosecco!"

Ted's pick... 2014 Breca has arrived... Dark, Lush & Plush - a steal for $14+
"Wooh! This tastes expensive! No Silly, it's 2014 Breca!

Rewriting the words "Value in Spain!"

Drinks like a $30 California Red!

The 2014 Breca is a stunning value!

Very rich, ripe and plush dark plum and cherry fruits on the nose with chocolate panforte on the palate. It pushes smooth and even.

91 points, Vinous / Antonio Galloni
"Lurid ruby. Lively red fruit and floral aromas are complemented by suggestions of smoky minerals and a hint of vanilla. Sappy and seamless in texture, offering juicy red berry, bitter cherry and rose pastille flavors that open up steadily with air. Finishes long and smooth, displaying subtle tannins and an echo of candied flowers.

Ted's pick... 2006 Muscadet perfect for oysters tonight - Rare treat to find something like this available and affordable!
"Here’s something completely different, yet so delicious! An 11 year old Muscadet – perfect for Oysters/shell fish.

Domaine du Haut Bourg 2006 Origine du Haut Bourg (Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu)

If you’ve ever wondered what an ancient-vine Muscadet from an excellent grower would taste like after spending a decade underground in tank, here’s your opportunity.

Located in the heart of the Muscadet appellation Côtes de Grandlieu, the Domaine du Haut Bourg was built by four generations of vignerons. The first vine was planted in 1945 and today brothers Hervé and Nicolas Choblet run their 40 hectares estate together.

From 70-year-old vines in a gravelly, cobbled, quartzite-rich site over a bed of schist and amphibolite, this leads with pungent aromas of lemon peel and bruised apple skin.

A polished but firm palate, leading to a finish exuberantly assisted by fresh lemon and reprising the aforementioned mineral themes.

The evolution here has not been in a softening direction but instead toward attractive austerity.

"Aged for 10 years in underground tanks on its lees, this wine has just been bottled. That aging process has preserved the wine's freshness, keeping the crisp acidity in place. So while the wine is beautifully mature, it is still so bright and fruity. Drink now.

Don’t miss this…

Ted's pick... 93 Point 2015 Beringer "Luminus" Chardonnay is their Best Chardonnay in years!
"Beringer’s Best Chardonnay is Not their Private Reserve! Beringer makes 5 different Chardonnay's (Stone Cellars, Founders, Napa, Luminus, & Private Reserve) - so I decided to brown bag them all and see if the Perennial favorite, the Private Reserve would show best.

Big Surprise!

The BEST Beringer Chardonnay is a relative newcomer - LUMINUS!

The 2015 Luminus has bountiful Oak richness along with HUGE Fruit! Much better value than the Private Reserve - Jump on this now if you are a Chardonnay lover!

Sourced from fruit grown on Beringer's Oak Knoll District, Napa Valley Estate - Each Chardonnay lot was kept separate throughout the aging process. After sending the fruit directly to press, the juice was fermented in seasoned French oak barrels (45 percent new). The lees were stirred every other week to integrate the subtle oak notes and develop a polished texture. Winemaking is focused on showcasing the unique characteristics of Oak Knoll Chardonnay at the highest level, and achieved that with the final blend made after 10 months of aging in barrels.

93 points, Editor's Choice, Wine Enthusiast
"Heady oak aromas lead the nose of this silky, rich wine sourced from a cool site on the producer's own Big Ranch Vineyard at the southern end of the valley. Golden honey notes add to its luxurious nature, contrasting the linear infusion of tart lemon zest, orange peel and nutty spice flavors.

Ted's pick... 97 Point Champagne Brimoncourt under $40!! Exceptional Champagne!!
"Champagne sales are continuing to decline. Most people are buying prosecco and cava these days… I still love a great Champagne.

Here’s a Great Champagne I had recently that I was shocked was a 12 pack when I looked at the price.

I thought it was a $75 Champagne…

I like $36+ Much better!

Brimoncourt Blanc de Blancs Champagne

Exceptional!

Lifted pear, baked apple and toast aromas explode from the glass followed by baked bread and citrusy brioche notes. Rich and toasty with a creamy mid palate and refreshingly dry finish the palate features flavors of citrus and pear infused with oily toast like characters followed by baked bread, cashew and yeast lees. Excellent length with a long aftertaste of pear, oily baked bread, subtle citrus, cashew and yeast lees. A full, flavorsome style of Blanc de Blanc. Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Some great press on it too…

97 points, DR RON GEORGIOU MW
“Boasting 85% Grand Cru origins, this exceptionally fine Champagne has intense nutty and mineral aromas on the nose. The palate follows in fine style, with substantial and complex wet slate minerality, layered with nutty/brioche and toasty complexity. A wine of considerable breeding and quality, and one of the better Blanc de Blancs I have tasted in recent times.”

I agree…
